Life After Death
The Society of Cypriot Studies co-organizes with the Cultural Capital of Europe Pafos2017 the exhibition "Life after Death. A cultural approach to preservation of the Dead’s memory through art and burial customs in Cyprus and Denmark from Antiquity till nowadays.
The exhibition will be inaugurated at the Old Powerhouse of Pafos on July 4, 2017 at 19.30 and will last until 31 July 2017 presenting the outcome of the collaboration of the Society of Cypriot Studies and the Moesgaard Museum in Aarhus, Denmark.
The Exhibition will host more than 130 rare exhibits and photographic material from important Museums and ecclesiastical institutions in Cyprus, Denmark and Greece, as well as from private Collections.
The illustrated, bilingual (Greek-English) Exhibitions’ Catalogue, which includes relevant introductory texts and entries on the artworks, will be also circulated at the twin exhibition in the Moesgaard Museum, highlighting the cultural relations between Cyprus and Denmark.
