12th Summer Dance Festival
The 12th Summer site specific Dance Festival by Cyprus New Movement of Dance Groups, Dancers and Choreographers is coming up in Limassol and Nicosia.

For ten consecutive days, the audience and dance fans will have the chance to wander around the town centres of Limassol and Nicosia, rediscover some old, and forgotten pathways, historical landmarks and buildings, as these revive through the choreographies presented by the participating artists.
A total of nine dance groups will be presenting their new choreographic work at this year’s Summer Dance Festival, one of the most important cultural events of contemporary dance in Cyprus.
As a site specific Festival, the shows that make up its programme derive from the space itself as a creative element in their structure and content. The choreographers become inspired from a space and create works specifically to be presented within that specific space. As a result, the viewer is involved in a holistic dance experience, which goes beyond the conventional framework of a traditional theatre or venue.
