An ode to a brilliant 30-year-old story: the hip-hop. The Roots is first and foremost a human adventure, a journey. Eleven outstanding dancers are the performers of this adventure. Music plays a major and meaningful role: with Brahms, Glazunov, and mainly electronic music, it opens its doors to a dancing humanity. The piece draws upon everyone’s story: the story of every dancer, with both their wealth and distinctiveness.
