2nd Annual Hyperion Lecture
The University of Cyprus will be hosting Andreas C. Kramvis, President and CEO of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies. His lecture entitled “Steering Through a Storm: From Weakness to Strength, One Decision Week at a Time” will take place on Thursday, 27th of February, at 19:00, at the Auditorium Hall of the University of Cyprus (Kallipoleos 75).
As the global economy remains in slow-growth mode, every business must continuously transform itself if it hopes to be successful. In his presentation, Andreas Kramvis will talk about his widely applicable, step-by-step, formula to turn businesses into competitive, profitable enterprises. This approach to business transformation has been proven in multiple industries, and it encapsulates a holistic view of the work that needs to be done – from establishing an operating system (“Business Decision Week”) to changing the culture and putting in place the right capabilities and learning processes to help an organization perform at a higher level. Andreas Kramvis has applied this formula successfully in his current job as president and CEO of a $7 billion, world-leading chemical company, and he has applied it in several other industries throughout his career. Andreas’ business transformation model is detailed in his book “Transforming the Corporation: Running a Successful Business in the 21st Century”.
Professor Constantinos Christophides, Rector of the University of Cyprus and Dr Symeon Kassianides, President and CEO of Hyperion Systems Engineering Ltd will deliver the welcoming remarks at this Second Hyperion Lecture.
The University of Cyprus established the Annual Hyperion Lectures with the noble contribution of Hyperion Systems Engineering Ltd, as part of the corporate program, established in 2012 between Hyperion and the University.
