2nd Cyprus Fashion Week

Coca Cola Light presents the 2nd Cyprus Fashion Week by Harper’s Bazaar in cooperation with the Cyprus Fashion Designer’s Association. For the second time, Cyprus becomes the centre of European fashion.

After the great success in March 2008, Cyprus Fashion Week, is an established fashion event, promising this time more magic, glamour and lots of FASHION!

Cypriot and foreign designers will present the latest fashion trends for the season Spring-Summer 2009.

17 Cypriot designers, 3 guest designers from Paris and Athens, 20 fashion shows, 25 models from abroad, buyers, media and celebrities from Cyprus and abroad,will be present at the biggest festival of Cyprus fashion! A very important guest designer in Cyprus Fashion Week is Ines de la Fressange (Karl Lagerfeld’s muse and a model for Chanel for many years) who, since 1999, has created her own line of clothing, and she is also the advisor for Roger Vivier and Jean Paul Gaultier. Also, another important guest is Mr Francois Louis Vuitton, member of the Louis Vuitton family and president of the House of Ines de la Fressange.

The opening of the 2nd Cyprus Fashion Week will start with the Pink Fashion Show. This fashion show is dedicated to charity. Cypriot fashion designers and members of the Cyprus Fashion Designer’s Association will present creations in white colour which will have pink detail that symbolizes the pink ribbon of breast cancer. During the Pink Fashion Show, the designer’s creations will parade on the catwalk. After the show, an exhibition of the outfits will be held at the Famagusta Gate. The exhibition will be open to the public during the Cyprus Fashion Week. The outfits will be auctioned to interested buyers and all the proceeds will be given to the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center, in order to help fight breast cancer.

During the Cyprus Fashion Week a cafeteria - Gloria Jeans Coffee- will be open to the public. Coffee and tasty snacks will be available to the public.
The closing party for the 2nd Cyprus Fashion Week will be on Sunday the 26th of October at Club Zoo. Coca Cola Light is closing the Cyprus Fashion Week with a party filled with glamour, celebrities, media and models!

From Thursday the 23rd until Sunday the 26th of October 2008, enjoy the magic of the 2nd Cyprus Fashion Week at the Famagusta Gate!
