30th Ayia Napa International Festival

The Ayia Napa Festival is, undoubtedly, the most popular and well anticipated event that takes place in the tourist resort of Ayia Napa, and one of the most famous events of the island.

The programme this year includes amongst others music performances by various Municipal Philharmonic Bands, music performances by various choirs, a concert with Greek singer Sofia Papazoglou accompanied by the Agia Napa Municipal Dancing Group and the “Romiosini” Choir of Agios Dimitrios from Paralimni (26/9 at 21:00hrs), a concert with the Tenors of the 21st Century of Moscow and the Moscow State Dancing team (27/9 at 21:45hrs), dancing for a new Guinness World Record (28/9 at 17:00hrs), other music and dance performances and many more.

19:00 Paralimni, Lakatamia and Limassol’s Municipal Philharmonic Band are performing from three different areas of Ayia Napa: From the Harbour, North Monastery’s Square, Nissi Avenue. Ending at Ayia Napa Municipal Museum "THALASSA"

19:30 Celebrating of 30 years Ayia Napa’s Festival with choral songs at the Auditorium of the Municipal Museum "THALASSA", Municipal Choir of Sotira, Choir "Evagora" of Famagusta, Lakatamia’s Municipal Choir, Choir "Melizona" from Paralimni Municipality.

26/9 FRIDAY

19:30 The Philharmonic band of the Cyprus Police Force plays alongside Makarios Avenue melodies. Dancing snapshots from Dancing Groups.

20:00 Inauguration of Ayia Napa International Festival.

20:30 Address by the Mayor of Ayia Napa Mr Yiannis Karousos and the Honourable Minister of Defence Mr Christoforos Fokaides.

21:00 "Traditional Winds" with the Greek Singer Sofia Papazoglou, the Ayia Napa Municipal Dancing Group and the “Romiosini” Choir of Ayiou Dimitriou Paralimni.

17:00 Dancing for a new Guinness World Records “ZORBAS”, “KALAMATIANOS” and “KALINKA” on Makarios Avenue, the event is under the auspices of the Cabinet Secretary Mr Theodosis Tsiola.

20:00 “Romiosini” Georgian Dancing Group of Cyprus.

20:30 “Sipan” Armenian Dancing Group.

21:00 Declaration of the 31st Ayia Napa International Festival 2015.
