34 Wonders of the world
BirdLife Cyprus will launch a photo exhibition entitled ’34 Wonders of the world’ at Nicosia Municipal Multipurpose Centre, Pallouriotissa Old Market, Nicosia on 22 May 2015, 7:30pm.
The exhibition is has been put together by Terre Sauvage, a well-known nature magazine in France, CEPF (Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund), and the NPL (Nature Picture Library) in the UK and it has been developed in partnership with Agence Française du Développement (the French Development Agency), the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the LPO/BirdLife France, which is in charge of the distribution and facilitation of the exhibition around the world.
The CEPF supports concrete actions for conservation on the ground, focussing on the 34 biodiversity hotspots around the world. BirdLife Cyprus is one of the organisations hosting this exhibition in the 2nd largest biodiversity hotspot in the world, the Mediterranean. Photos from world-renowned nature photographers will be showcased at the exhibition along with informative text.
Guests from government departments, universities and other appropriate authorities and organisations will be invited, as well as the international organisers of the exhibition.
The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on the afternoon of Friday 22 May (International Biodiversity Day).
