3rd Apollon International Arts Festival
The 3rd Apollon International Chamber Music Festival, now encompasses chamber music, art exhibitions and jazz/classic-rock music and has been re-named the Apollon International Arts Festival.
The mission remains the same – to foster a greater appreciation of various forms of culture in the Mediterranean region by presenting festivals and performances featuring world-class artists in beautiful surroundings, while emphasizing the development of a broad based, sustainable audience through education.
The festival begins with a Sonata Evening at the Pallas Theatre, Nicosia on October 25,and then continues for three evenings at the Annabelle Hotel with the international group of distinguished musicians including violinists Tamsin Waley-Cohen, Katharine Gowers, Wolfgang Schroder, violist Krzysztof Chorzelski, cellist Guy Johnston and pianist Charles Owen.
The final evening on October 29, is in a lighter vein with the PapaGeorgio Quartet where classic rock meets jazz with singer Sarah Fenwick. The concert will be repeated the next evening at The Venue, Makedonitissa in Nicosia, which will also include prosecco and canapés.
