3rd Cyprus Russia Gala
Ensemble Productions Ltd, initiator of the annual Cyprus-Russia Gala, is proud to lead the Gala now in its third year. An international London-based company, it specializes in organizing and promoting high quality classical, jazz, world, pop and rock concerts, opera, ballet and cotemporary dance productions. Ensemble Productions has initiated many international cultural ventures and festivals and has worked on behalf of governmental bodies to present their projects around the world.
Radiomarathon Foundation for Children with Special Needs
Through the years Radiomarathon Foundation has developed into a mass social institution that has helped to substantially overcome the social prejudice relating to people with special needs. Organized by Marfin Laiki Group and the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, and with the enthusiastic support of many other institutions, volunteers and many Cypriot citizens, the major social and charitable institution of the island will be organized this year for the 20th consecutive year.
Cyprus Symphony Orchestra
The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, which through the years has collaborated with famous foreign conductors and soloists such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Placido Domingo and Cyprien Katsaris, presents inspiring symphonic performances for audiences of all ages, actively engages in educational and outreach programs and plays a leading role in the island’s cultural life.
Julian Gallant, Conductor
A well-known conductor and pianist Julian Gallant has conducted symphony orchestras in all over Russian with the leading soloists there. He has also conducted the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, Helikon Opera Moscow, the Kazakh State Opera, the State Opera House in Tbilisi, Armenian National Symphony Orchestra, Guatemala National Symphony.
Tatiana Pavlovskaya
One of the leading soloists of the Mariinsky Theater, celebrated soprano and “Honored Artist of Russia” Tatiana Pavlovskaya has sung many of the major classic and contemporary roles – from Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) and Mimi (La Bohème) to The Governess (The Turn of the Screw) and the title role in Jenůfa – in opera houses from New York to Amsterdam.
Sergei Leiferkus
The former star of the Mariinsky Theater, legendary baritone Sergei Leiferkus appeared at all the main opera houses including Covent Garden, La Scala, Vienna and New York – in major roles from Eugene Onegin to Simon Boccanegra. He has also recorded several award-winning CDs with major record labels.
Chibatukha
One of Russia’s most charismatic and colorful folk groups, Chibatukha performs the best of Russian traditional folk music – at religious and family festivals including weddings, Christmas, Easter and Maslenitsa. The ensemble uses traditional and modern electronic instruments and its electrifying dancing and vocal improvisations are loved by audiences everywhere.
Larissa Dolina
A mega pop star Larissa Dolina has performed all over the world, recorded 14 solo albums and sold more than 10 million records. Ms Dolina was named “People’s Artist of Russia” – the highest status an artist can receive – and in 2005 was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Putin for her contribution to music.
Yiannis Kotsiras, Rallia Christidou and Myronas Stratis
Yiannis Kotsiras, one of the most loved voices of Greek art-song music with the highest record of album sales in Greece, with Rallia Christidou, considered one of the most important new generation artists, and Myronas Stratis, the promising young winner of the Thessaloniki Song Contest, in their summer concert programme – a wonderful journey of Greek music.
