40+ Live

The 1970’s marked the rock era and at the time numerous bands were forming all over Cyprus. This musical society quickly spread all over the island, creating a new trend with musical competitions, concerts and events.

Today, some 30 years later, some of those students, now with families of their own, reunite in a musical get-together. At 40+ those rusty fingers and hoarse voices
have sprung back in action, and the results are truly amazing.

Favourite classic hits that someone rarely has the chance to enjoy LIVE anymore. Anthems of known rock bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Dire Straits, Doors, Santana, Guns n’ Roses, Joan Jett, as well as other classic hits from newer artists like No Doubt, 4 Non-Blondes, Duffy, etc.

These last 5 years the 40+ Rock Band have appeared in numerous live venues and concert halls.

In June 2010 they successfully organised a charity concert for the victims of the Haiti Earthquake in cooperation with UNICEF, and in November 2010 they performed for the IRC Cyprus Rally.
