48 Hours Cyprus 2018

The Cyprus Federation of Classic Vehicles, OKAK, is announcing that for the 16th consecutive year and in collaboration with the Bank of Cyprus, it will organize the "48 HOURS CYPRUS” Charity Regularity Rally on the weekend of the 28-29 April 2018. It is well known that the Rally supports financially and otherwise the work of the Cyprus Anticancer Society.

The start will take place on Saturday 28 April from the Bank of Cyprus Head Office in Agia Paraskevi, Strovolos, Nicosia at 10:00 am and the contestants will head to Paphos via the Troodos Mountains and will park at the Harbor and the medieval castle from 14:00 until about 15:30.

Afterwards, the route will take everybody to Limassol via the areas near the old motorway, where the participants will arrive around 18:00 at the St. Raphael Resort. In the evening all participants will be attending the Gala Dinner at the hotel at 20:00HRS.

On Sunday, April 29th, the cars will start at 09:00 and will head to Larnaka’s Evropis Square in Finikoudes around 10:00. Then the end of the event (12:00 noon) and the award ceremony will be in the Agios Dimitrios Park in Strovolos, also the completion spot of the Christodoula’s March.
The Rally is a charity event and participants are encouraged to find sponsors. Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 participants based on the highest amounts that will be provided by their sponsors. We attach a special request form for your individual sponsors. Donor companies will be promoted as supporters of “48 Hours Cyprus” from the main Anti-Cancer Society and Bank of Cyprus campaign for the Christodoula’s March and the same form can be used as in the case of individual sponsors/donors.
Participation is again set at €60 for a two-member crew and includes the Saturday Gala Dinner at the St. Raphael Resort and the Sunday lunch at the Strovolos Park. Additional passengers’ cost is €30 per person with the same benefits. There is also arrangement for the Saturday quick lunch in Pafos at a very low cost/person.

Organized Groups and / or individuals can also participate as Teams and claim group prizes, both for the results of the Regularity Rally and the Sponsorships. Teams should consist of three vehicles.

The Rally is the third and fourth event of the OKAK Pancyprian Classic Car Championship, so only historic cars with the International FIVA Federation Certificate will be eligible to participate at the Regularity Rally. Those wishing to participate with vehicles that have no FIVA ID or are modern, can participate in the rally under a separate category with its own awards. There is also the possibility to participate in the event as a tour using the road book.

In addition to the above offer and due to a shortage of rooms at the St.Raphael and the general shortage of hotel rooms in Limassol, bookings need to be made as early as possible in other hotels in the city also.
