4th Cyprus-Russian Festival
The Russian Embassy in Cyprus, the Limassol Municipality and the Russian newspaper Cyprus Advertiser (Vestnik Kipra) organize the 4th Cyprus-Russian Festival which aims to promote closer relationships between the two countries on a cultural level.
The program of the Festival:
15:00 – 22:00 – Fair. Exhibitions. Children entertainments.
16:00 – 18:30 – Concerts (every 15 minutes there is a new one, Russian and Cypriot groups follow one after another)
19:00 – Official opening ceremony: speeches by the President of Cyprus Mr. Dimitris Christofias, the Mayor of Limassol Mr. Andreas Christou, the Ambassador of Russia in Cyprus Mr. Vyacheslav Shumsky, and the Chairman of Cyprus-Russia Friendship Association Mr. Harris Thrassou.
21:00 – Concert by the famous group from Russia “Shpilki”
22:30 – Fireworks
