6th City Markets
Spring is here… and so is City Markets! Let’s get out and welcome the colors and smells of nature. The 6th City Markets will be held at Kafeneio to Koukounari which is located at Akadimias Park, in Aglantzia between the hours of 10:00- 18:00.
More than twenty creators and artists will be there with their handmade items and crafts as well as sweet cupcakes, fresh lemonade and many other things. You will also find handmade jewelry, paintings, books, dream catchers, candles, pillows, clothes, shoes, bags, homemade cookies and many more.
With every purchase we make from City Markets, we support the local market and local artists and fabricators and we contribute in boosting our economy.
Raffle tickets will be sold during the weekend, and on Sunday, several lucky winners will win prizes that will be donated from all the participants, as well as other organizations and small businesses. The proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family. A representative of the Association will visit the festival on Sunday to collect the amount.
The dance school “True Enforcers of Advance Movement” will show off their skills in dancing on Sunday around 3 o’clock. Our clown will also be there as well as an artist to face paint, for free, our small friends.
During the festival, the KAFENe (Greek acronym for Centre of Disinterested Discovery of Young Entrepreneurship) team will continue their attempt to break the Guinness World Record by creating the largest collage of photographs in the world. The collage will display citizens with the “I AM THE ECONOMY” sign, communicating the message that the economy of a country and a nation is all the people that comprise it! The festival’s visitors can have their picture taken by the KAFENe team and be part of this gigantic attempt.
