7th Children & Youth Film Festival
The International Children’s Film Festival of Cyprus (ICFFCY), a non-profit organization, is organizing for the 7th year running the “Children & Youth Film Festival”, from 20-26 February 2011 at Pantheon Art Cinema in Nicosia. This event has been institutionalized and is looked forward to not only by educators, but also the children that participate in the Morning Screenings and Workshops. The Festival is penned into the agendas of quality cinema lovers and is under the auspices of the Children’s Rights Commissioner, Leda Koursoumba, and has the support of the European Commission Representation in Cyprus.
The Opening Ceremony will take place on Sunday, 20 February, at 17:00 at Pantheon Art Cinema. This year’s Festival is divided into 4 different parts: Morning Screenings and Workshops for schools (21-26 February) Friday Night Marathon Screenings (25 February, at 17:00 until midnight, at Pantheon) and Bicommunal Creative Day (26 February at 10:00 a.m. at CCMC-Ledra Pallas), both of which are open to the public. The Closing Ceremony will take place at 16:00 of the same day at Pantheon Art Cinema.
