7th Summer Dance Festival (Lectures)
The 7th Summer dance festival of New Movement of dance groups, dancers and choreographers of Cyprus is one of the most important festivals in the city of Limassol . Cypriot choreographers choose alternative spaces in the city of Limassol presenting works which express their ideas, thoughts and the contemporary streams of dance today. Participating dance companies are: Aelion , Chorotheatro Omada Pente, Solipsism , Echo Arts , Noema Dance Works , En drasi , guest choreographer Athena Vahla.
The festival opens with two lectures on the 23rd of July:

The influence of the architectural structure and location, to the construction of the idea, in the context of a site specific choreographic work.

Lecture by: Arianna Economou
Tittle: One Square Foot Investigative Project
A collaborative investigation between Echo Arts, Theatre Alibi ( UK) & Exeter University for the creation of new work, where the use of “site” is a source and resource for creating material for Performance.
