9th Cyprus Salsa Congress 2014

Following seven annual successful Salsa Congresses in Cyprus, SalsaCyprus has announced the organization of the 9th Cyprus Salsa Congress on 28-31, March 2014.

As in previous years the Congress venue will be the five star luxury Grecian Park Hotel in Cape Greco. The Congress will present distinguished artists and salsa instructors and performers, offering an exciting weekend full of specialized workshops, amazing shows and parties until morning. The congress is specially designed to offer variety of workshops in different techniques, and at all levels, including special beginners’ crash course.

As a worldwide annual event, the Salsa Congress is being organized for many years in England, Vienna, Berlin, Milan, Australia, etc. The tourist resorts of Ayia Napa & Protaras in Cyprus have now been successfully added in the above list with more than 600 participants from Cyprus and abroad, taking part at this event with great enthusiasm and energy.

The congress applies to all ages and not only from Cyprus but from broad since the event is well known in the salsa scene through various promotional activities and international contacts of the organizing team. The 6th congress hosted over 700 people 200 of which came from Lebanon, Greece, Israel, England, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Dubai, Russia and Canada. The number of participants from abroad for 2014 is expected to increase and the hotel where the congress will take place has already sold out as reservations were already coming through at a fast pace! All new bookings are now accommodated at the five star Grecian Bay Hotel, Ayia Napa.

The line-up of instructors and performers is exceptional featuring top artists such as Luis Vasquez & Melissa Fernandez (Mexico), Juan Matos & Amneris (Dominican Republic/Puerto Rico), Nuno y Vanda (Portugal), Yanet Fuentes’ Shakiras dancer’ (Cuba) Chiguito & Dominican power (Italy), Wilmer & Maria (Cuba), New Tribe, Mike Faya from the ‘movie street dance 2’(France), Alien Ramirez 9 times world chambions (Mexico), Kiki & Eli (Greece) and many others.

Salsa is a truly energetic and sensual dance, with exciting rhythms offering endless hours of fun and entertainment. The dance combines the style from Cuba, Puerto Rico and Colombia, creating simple and lively movements. The salsa Congress in Cyprus is certainly a refreshing weekend to salsa rhythms, an annual event not to be missed!
