9th Dance, Movement & Performance Arts Festival No_ Body

The festival will take place on 2 & 3 December 2017 at the Dancehouse Lefkosia. The festival is presented under the auspices of the honourable Mayor of Nicosia, in cooperation with Municipality of Nicosia and is supported by the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The NO_BODY/ MOVING ON! festival, has been awarded with the EFFE Label 2017-2018 Europe for Festivals- Festivals for Europe, and it is now included on the map of the European festivals.

This year, the festival hosts 20 artistic groups and artists. Celebrating nearly 10 years of operation, we are launching new presentation format. NO_BODY/ MOVING ON! programme takes place in two streams:
-Performance
-Move 5

Performance involves group interdisciplinary performances presented by choreographers, dancers & other related performance artists , whilst Move 5 is a new format for presenting dance as an artistic expression based on 5 minutes time limit presentations, for promoting diversity of body/ movement expression and the new upcoming dancers & choreographers.

Parallel Events will take place between December 1-16 in the framework of the Urban Emptiness project in collaboration with the Cultural Studies and Contemporary Arts Lab of the European University Cyprus and will include workshops, exhibitions, presentations and other actions.
