An African Adventure
Leo is travelling to West Africa.
Here’s your chance to be an explorer!
The A. G. Leventis Gallery has planned an African Adventure this summer!
Following on from a successful summer workshop in 2014, the A. G. Leventis Gallery is offering a two-week programme for children aged 8-12, taking as its theme its current temporary exhibition ‘Creative Visions: A. G. Leventis & West Africa’.
With Leo as their guide, our young adventurers will have a unique experience following A. G. Leventis’ first steps on the African Continent. Through a series of interactive, creative workshops they will get to know West Africa: its history, culture and traditions from the beginning of the 20th century until the present day. They will also compare and contrast this important period in West Africa’s history with the corresponding period in Cyprus’ history, exploring the A. G. Leventis’ Cypriot Collection as well as The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia.
This exciting adventure begins on June 29th at the A. G. Leventis Gallery. First stop: Abeokuta!
