O Agapitikos tis Voskopoulas
This pastoral tale of romance and jealousy was also the first talking picture in Greece, and a runaway success in the 50s. The play is adapted and directed by Christos Zanos.
A rich man named Mitros falls in love with a young shepherdess named Krystallo and gives her a silver necklace as a token of his affections. Krystallo is, however, involved with Liakos, a poor shepherd who owes his life to Mitros. Debts notwithstanding, Liakos is furious when he sees Krystallo wearing the necklace, and almost loses his life in a feud with Mitros.
