Aigaia School - 5th end of year exhibition
Aigaia School of Art and Design presents the 5th end of year exhibition including work from all levels, groups and courses offered during the academic year 2010 -2011.
The foundation course students will exhibit their final major projects in the discipline they chose to specialise after trying all major areas of art & design. All their projects are concerned with and question contemporary social and personal issues. The projects cover a range of art and design disciplines like fine art, textiles, landscape architecture, interior design, fashion design, photography, graphics etc
The exhibition will also include samples of work from all other groups of the school. These include samples of ordinary and advanced level examination groups, adults art classes, photography groups and of course a major attraction of our exhibition is always the work by by the young artists of the children’s art school which will be exhibiting high level of work as always.
Our art & design examination groups involve work that was awarded the highest marks in Cyprus. Georgia Kolokoudia was awarded the highest marks in Cyprus for the AS Level Art & design in the June 2010 examination session. Georgia continues the tradition of the school’s students being awarded with highest marks in Cyprus and in the world for the 4th year running. A speciual moment for the school was when Rafaella Demetriadou was awarded with the highest marks in the world for the IGCSE Art & design in the June 2008 examination session.
The exhibition will also include examples of work by Academic staff.
The opening of the exhibition will start at 8.30pm on Friday the 10th June 2011
