Amiche String Quartet & George Georgiou (Clarinet)
The last concert for 2014 of the «Commandaria Orchestra & Friends Chamber Music Concert Series», will be held at The Cyprus Wine Museum on December 7th, at 6.00pm.
The Cyprus-based multinational ensemble «Amiche String Quartet» will perform Beethoven’s String Quartet in C minor Op.18, No.4, and with the distinguished young Cypriot clarinettist George Georgiou they will perform Brahms Clarinet Quintet in B minor, Op. 115.
The “AMICHE” String Quartet had its debut over seven years ago. All four lady performers Ayşe Karaoglan (Violin), Anna Zebranowska (Violin), Ewa Bartmann (Viola), Miranda Papaneokleous (Cello) are versatile musicians who for years have actively participated in the cultural life of Cyprus taking part in nearly all major music events, either giving solo concerts or performing in chamber ensembles. The name of the group comes from the Italian word meaning ‘friends’ and this is what they would like to be known as.

As s soloist he has performed with CUSO and the Moscow Virtuosi and has collaborated with artists and ensembles as Vladimir Spivakov, Movses Pogossian, Rohan de Saram, Chilingirian String Quartet and Apple Hill String Quartet.
