And Along Come Tourists
Sven is a conscientious objector who refuses his service in the Germany Army and, instead, is given a place at Oswecim, the former Auschwitz. It is his task to take care of former concentration camp prisoner Krzeminski who up to this day is restoring the suitcases of the Auschwitz victims. He finds himself between prejudices and taboos on the one hand, and the influx of memorial tourists on the other until he falls in love with Polish interpreter Ania. When Ania applies for a scholarship in Brussels, Sven wants to give up everything. Robert Thalheim succeeds in confronting us with German-Polish history in connection with a love story in the new Europe.
