Andreas Karayian
The known Cypriot artist Andreas Karayian celebrates his 70th birthday and presents a painting exhibition at Apocalypse Gallery in Nicosia from the 12th until the 23rd of March.
The exhibition entitled "The journey continues..." includes paintings of landscapes and portraits created with acrylic and oil on paper and canvas.
Andreas Karayian was born in Nicosia in 1943. He received a Degree in Medicine from the University of Athens in 1967. He studied Art at the Central and Camberwell Schools of Art in London from 1968 - 1972. In 1975 he studied etching at the Kunstakademie in Stuttgart, Germany and in 1976 - 1977 he followed an Art Teachers’ Training Course in London.
Karayian has shown his work in solo exhibitions in Cyprus, Greece, Germany, Egypt and Italty and he represented Cyprus in the Biennale of Venice in 2001.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Finance Minister Michalis Sarris on Match 12 at 19:30.
