Anna Vasiliou - Web of Time
Her artistic journey is full of quests. Having escaped early on from realism, Anna has experimented with various techniques and styles, been influenced and has explored, so she could carve her own artistic path. Today she continues to search and experiment, operating between abstract and cubism. The mediums she uses vary from oils to gold and silver leaf to material, acrylics, paper and thread. Thematically Anna uses the human figure, mainly the woman, to capture emotions, thoughts, questions and philosophical concerns. Her work is characterized through chromatic dynamics using strong oranges amongst black and white and at times a touch of gold. At the same time her work is governed by a deep innerness, a means that may be used to interpret the feeling of being exposed.
