APURIMAC started as a band in 1983. A time when in Greece, the Latin music sounds like something “ exotic “. In 1998, they participated in LYRA’S set “ To Vangelis With Love “ revising songs of Vangelis Germanos. In 2000, they took part in Latin production “ In Latin Rhythm “ (MBI ). Their program is a combination between their music and songs, revisions of Greek and foreign composers with well known traditional songs of the Latinamerican music. When on stage, they use traditional instruments in a variety of sound and color, while they combine the traditional shades of Indian music of Andes, with the dynamic Afrocuban sound of the Caribean.
