Archaic art of Cyprus - The jewel of Cypriot Antiquity
Lecture by Dr. Stella Karageorgi.
The lecture will focus on an introduction to the Archaic Art of Cyprus, 8th – 5th century BC, when the island had experienced a great development in the arts and specifically in pottery. This period is considered the peak of Cypriot art and is acclaimed for the development of a unique style.
Stella Karageorgi is a fine artist and a researcher. She studied Fine Arts and Art History in the USA and holds a doctorate from De Montfort University in the United Kingdom. She lives and works in Paphos.
