A few words about Silkscreens
The silkscreen method was primarily used in the 9th century in China and has been reinventing itself since, through movements such as Pop Art in the 1960's and technological development.
However, it still carries its original name albeit the screens used are no longer made from silk. This method demands a repeating series of necessary steps and an experienced eye, for the right combination of colours and an aesthetically pleasing result.
It is noteworthy that a silkscreen image is made of as many as 27 layers of paint, for which the process is repeated from scratch each time. An admittedly time-consuming method, the silkscreen method will take up a large amount of time, yet will be worth the while for its visually unique effect of vibrant colours and rich texture.
