ArtesIan
Technopolis 20 invites you to a different evening entitled “ArtesIan” that will combine music, poetry and art. Juan Artes and Ian G, two singers and songwriters will present original songs, stories and poetry with new arrangements of some old favourites, on Friday, March 18 at 8pm.
The two artists are known for their humour and cheeky banter, musicianship and beautiful vocal harmonies. Their songs deal with contemporary & historical events and explore themes of love, loss, wordplay and psychedelia against a background of video and still images to enhance their performance. Juan’s stunning artwork will be projected onscreen during the poetry recital. In addition to guitar and bass they will feature mandolin, harmonica, bouzouki and ukulele in the course of their unique and refreshing programme.
Juan (John) Artes ran Planet Audio Studios in England and now he is signed to Tabatha records UK. He is also a published poet with online magazine “The Pages”. Columbia recording artist Ian G has written songs and jingles for BBC Radio 4 and numerous children's songs for schools in the UK.
Between them they have thousands of live gigs across Europe to their credit but this is a completely new performance. Songs to make you laugh, songs to make you cry, but above all, words and music for you to enjoy and reflect on.
