Athens International Digital Film Festival

ARTos Foundation is proud to welcome the screenings of the award-winning films of the 5th Athens International Digital Film Festival - AIDFF, organized by the Organization KOYINTA and Tickets Tickets, and which will take place on the 9 & 10 March at 20:30, at ARTos Foundation. The Festival is under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture and the City of Athens and with the support of various collaborating institutions and Cultural Correspondents in many cities of Greece and in various countries around the world. The Festival's Art Director is the well-known film director Christos N Karakasis; producer is the novelist, artist and director Vasiliki Kappa, while a number of distinguished artists are also in the organizing committee.

Further screenings of the awarded films are hosted each year in various countries and in other cities in Greece; the Festival has established a long-lasting collaboration with cultural organizations in Finland and the United Kingdom, and inaugurates, this year, its collaboration with Cyprus.

The 5th Festival received hundreds of submissions from a wide network of countries stretching from America to the Asian countries and from the Scandinavian Peninsula to the African continent; bringing together filmmakers in an international meeting. Films ranging from 40 different countries were shortlisted for the Festival's official program, with 70 of them being premiered at the Festival. The 5th edition took place on the 17 - 23 December 2015, in Athens, at two old cinemas of great significance and history that are Alkyonida and Studio.

The screening program presented at ARTos Foundation includes award-winning short films in the following five categories: Greek and foreign fiction, documentary, animation, video art, experimental and video dance.
