Auguste Corteau Book Presentation
Auguste Corteau is the pen name of the Greek author Petros Hadjopoulos. He was born in 1979 in Thessaloniki and now lives in Athens. In addition to the numerous novels, novellas and short-story collections he has published over the years, he has also written for the theater and the cinema. He has also translated into Greek numerous works by English-language writers, amongst them books by Nabokov, Banville, Updike, Annie Proulx and Cormac McCarthy. At the same time he regularly writes articles while he is also a an internet radio producer.
Corteau is an activist against discrimination due to sexual orientation and he has been the victim of verbal assault for his beliefs. In November 2014 he married his partner in New York City.
He will be in Cyprus to support the Cyprus Pride festival 2015 and to introduce his newest book, “Eros Anikate…. Masan” (Patakis Publications).
The book presentation will be followed by a Reading Night, entitled "PROKATARKTIKA", in which Mr Corteau will also participate as a reader.
