Baba au Rhum
Theatre Club of University of Cyprus presents a comedy by the famous Greek writer's duo Reppas-Papathanasiou “Baba au Rhum” (Mpampades me roumi). Baba au Rhum, also known as Rum Savarin, is a cake moistened with syrup but in this play Baba au Rhum is a very, very powerful weapon!
Panayiotis and Christos are two brothers who visit their dying father. Unfortunately, for them, the old-man died without writing a will and Veska is the main beneficiary of grandfather's property! Them and their wives, Roi and Jenny, are trying to find a way to “eliminate” Veska, the Bulgarian housekeeper with who their father was married a week ago.
The play was first performed on the 13th till the 15th of March and is returning for a charitable cause, on the 9th of May at the Conference Hall at University of Cyprus (Kallipoleos 75, Nicosia). A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF)
