Bicycle Tour of Nicosia
The Danish EU Presidency in cooperation with the Cyprus Cycling Federation, the Office of the European Parliament and the Representation of the European Commission in Cyprus organize a Bicycle Tour of Nicosia!
Denmark is world famous for its bicycle culture and the Danes are well known for their love of cycling. Last year Copenhagen was voted ‘Best city for cyclists’ and with over 390 kilometres of bike lanes the city is a biking heaven.
With Denmark as the current holder of the EU Presidency the Embassy of Denmark would like to celebrate the Europe Day by highlighting the potential for bicycle culture in cities – including the bicycle as a sustainable and healthy alternative to the car.
All bike lovers in Cyprus are invited to join us for a fun day to promote green mobility and the bicycle culture in Nicosia. Bring your own bike or borrow one of Nicosia’s city bikes and meet us at the starting place in front of the EU House. The tour will take us around Nicosia.
