With great pleasure we announce the second event by Hoodoo Nights CY as we welcome the 5-piece BLUES CARGO, the funkiest Blues band from Athens, for two shows in Cyprus:

Opening act: The Zilla Project (CY)

In 1987, Blues Cargo was born. With three original albums under their belt; First delivery (1993), Delayed Delivery (2009) and On Time (2016) all receiving great reviews, they have spread their popularity beyond the borders of Greece and Europe.

This talented ensemble knows their way around the Blues and delivers a Blues experience tinted with Funk, R&B and Jazz colorings, very often raising the crowd and bringing them to their feet! Bands like Blues Cargo are proud torch bearers with talent to spare and have approached the original Chicago Blues sound like few other bands in Europe have.

In their 32-year continuously-active presence they have backed up famous American and European Blues musicians including Louisiana Red, Lurrie Bell, Big Time Sarah, Eddie C. Campbell, Guitar Shorty, Lefty Dizz, Byther Smith, Angela Brown, Lovie Lee, Jean Caroll, Maxine Howard, U.P Wilson, Sweet Betty, Jimmy Morello, Jannice Harrington, Blind Missisipi Morris, Juke, Michael Dotson, Jolly Jumper & Big Moe, Nellie Tiger Travis, Matthew Skoller. Additionally they opened for John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, John Hammond, Nick Gravenites / John Cippolina Band, Big Town Playboys, Fernest Arcenaux & The Thunders.
