Bringing Music to Life: A music & dance performance
The dance meets the music and the music meets the dance. Technopolis 20 promises a different night where you will have the opportunity to watch professional dancers to follow the sounds of live music. Ann-Sylvia Clark and Georgios Pillas straight from New York, will find themselves on the stage of Technopolis 20 in swing, funk and jazz rhythms, on Sunday, August the 21st at 8:30pm.
While a music band (Spyros Socratous – double bass, Stefani Neofytou – voice, Michaela Papalla – voice, Maria Pilla – keyboards) will be playing live music, the two dancers will follow the melody and rhythm bringing music to life. An event where the audience will not just listen to music or watch a dance performance but will also feel the music through movement.

A few words about the artists
Ann-Sylvia Clark grew up in Norway. She started out as a gymnast at the age of 5 continued on for 12 years. Ann-Sylvia has travelled all over the country and all over Europe with the gymnastic team, but later showed more interest in dance and was accepted into Flow dance academy (Copenhagen, Denmark). She performed with Snoop Dogg and Pharrell Williams at the 2006 MTV European Music Awards. Since moving to New York, she continued her training at Broadway dance center. Since living in New York City she has performed in shows and done music videos for various artists like Alicia Keys, Styles P., F. Stokes, Ben L' Oncle Soul. In 2009 she became a member of “Decadance theatre” Which is a hip-hop theatrical company. With the company she has toured the US, the UK and also Russia. She have performed at the Jacobs Pillow dance festival with the company. Ann-Sylvia have performed on “Good day New York” on Fox 5, CBS, and a national television show called “Fake off” on tru tv. And she have also done commercial work for Samsung and Smirnoff. Her name has been mention in "The New York Times" describing her movements.
Georgios Pillas grew up and started his dance training in Paphos, Cyprus. He started training in Greek folk and latin dances at the age of 10 and continued his training there for 7 years. At the age of 18 he relocated to The Netherlands in order to train and study at Fontys Dance Academy and expand his knowledge in other forms of dance. While studying at the academy, he travelled to Barcelona, Paris, and Brussels participating in various dance workshops, festivals and shows of all different forms of dance. While traveling he studied with legendary dance Instructors Brian Green, Ejoe Wilson, Mr Wiggles, Iveta Lukosiute and many more successful choreographers and dancers. Georgios relocated to New York City to continue his training at Broadway Dance Center through the International Student Visa Program and graduated in 2010. He has performed with the Greek Culture Center of New York, Pratt University, Arthur Murray Dance Studios and many more. He also compete in professional dance competitions and became champion in Hustle Dance 2015. He is now a current dancer and dance instructor.
