Café Humaniste: Will we ever get Church-State separation?
Humanists International and Cyprus Humanist Association are glad to announce the first Café Humaniste in Cyprus on 20 September!
The public of this Café Humaniste will try to answer to a topical question in Cyprus and Greece nowadays: "Will we ever get Church-State separation?"
Main speaker of the event is Dr. Elena Milioti, who is Cypriot but lives in Athens, Greece. She is a humanist and she recently registered in Cyprus Humanist Association. She is a dentist and she is the first Cypriot to ask from the State to scrape off religion from all her state files and documentation. In Greece there is an application you can fill in and it is easily done but in Cyprus there was no official procedure as no one has asked such thing before. So few months ago it was all over the news that Elena has managed to do so all by herself using the GDPR regulation.
Chair of the event will be Spyros Sfenthourakis, President of Cyprus Humanist Association.
