Caterina: Last Queen of Cyprus
“Caterina: Last Queen of Cyprus” is an original stage play in English by Anthie Zachariadou, directed by Andreas Araouzos. Christina Marouchou portrays Queen Caterina Cornaro and has received exceptional reviews in the past two years.
In the play, Caterina Cornaro of Venice recounts her story, from 14 until her death, her life in Cyprus and her bond with the island, as well as her tragic and oppressed status as a pawn of ruthless politics aiming at the island’s domination. This show will be presented in New York on 9 November 2017! The United Solo Theatre Festival is an established annual happening in New York for which plays from all over the world, featuring one actor, are selected.
