Charilaos Souglis
Charilaos Souglis presents his second one-man exhibition at the Kypriaki Gonia Gallery in Larnaka, from 1-18 July, 2009. The exhibition will be opened by the Rt. Hon. Mayor of Larnaca Mr Andreas Moiseos on Wednesday, 1 July at 7.30 p.m.
This is what Dr. Tonia Loizou says about the artist’s new work:
“The clarity of expression, the simple coloured geometry that does not escape the boundaries of simplicity, substance and lack of superfluity of expression are the basic characteristics of Charilaos Souglis’s works of art.“Substantial work that disciplines the mind and captures one with its absolute serenity.”
Charilaos Souglis was born in Ammochostos in 1974 and grew up in Limassol. In 1995 he attended the School of Fine Arts in Athens. He specialises in painting, sculpture and mosaics. Before his graduation in 2002, he received many distinctions and much praise for his works, standing alongside well-known and worthy artists.
