Miray Cakir
Miray Cakir is a classically trained violinist, and a self-thought vocalist. Cakir's stage performing has been shaped by the genres from classical to traditional folk, rock to pop, and taken a land on jazz. Her jazz violin is spiced with such a wide musical spectrum and she projects a different kind of energy on stage. Her jazz interpretation on vocals is as natural as those singers from the early decades of 1900s such as Billie holiday, Maxine Sullivan, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee..
Yianna Koutsou
Yianna Koutsou was born in Paralimni and she is a professional jazz singer. She has a Bachelor degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Nicosia. From 2014, she has participated in numerous events around the island and she is the lead singer of the band Jazz Boulevard. Now she is currently teaching her own students and also performing in local venus in Nicosia.
Nihan Görgü
Nihan Görgü was born in Nicosia in 1984. She started to take private piano lessons from the age of 10. She studied classical piano at Eastern Mediterranean University Arts and Science Faculty Music Department. She is a regular participant as a jazz singer in bicommunal jazz workshops since 2008. She took vocal coaching lessons from Sarah Fenwick.
Alice Ayvazian
Alice Ayvazian received her Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas. In the United States, she participated as lead and backing vocalist in numerous studio recording projects as well as performances and concerts. She performs extensively in various venues in Cyprus and conducts vocal workshops in various educational establishments. She is currently instructor of Jazz Voice at the Department of Music and Dance at the University of Nicosia (since 2009) and the Director of the University's Jazz Choir (since 2011). She's also the lead singer for the professional Jazz trio Steppin' Out and is currently in the process of finishing her second Master's degree in Classical Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Nicosia.
