Children's dialogues
Part of the events planned for the academic year 2012-2013 at Aigaia School of Art and Design, is a specialised exhibition of children’s art titled “Children’s Dialogues”. The exhibition will open on Saturday, 6th April and will end on Tuesday, 30th April 2013. It will take place in the exhibition areas of the premises of Aigaia. The opening event is on Saturday, 6th April 2013, at 6:00pm by the Mayor of Nicosia Mr. Constantinos Yiorkadjis.
All the work on exhibition will be children’s art works inspired by many different themes and produced using many different materials and approaches. Throughout the exhibition there will be workshops and events that have been carefully designed by the creative children educators of Aigaia team. They aim to give the opportunity to the young visitors to participate in unique and special experiences discovering the richness of children’s art world. Educators and creators will assist the workshops helping the young visitors to discover the art works exhibited and also to create their own works of art. Visitors will also have the opportunity to become familiar with several fields of art and design from children’s point of view such as:
Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics, Illustration, History of art: artists, designers and art movements, Costume and Theatre Design, Performing Arts / Theatre / Animation, Architecture and Interior Design, Photography, Graphic Design.
The work exhibited is the result of several projects and themes our students worked on during this current academic year such as: written language: symbols and meanings, Cypriot traditional art, Flying representations, Imaginary stories, Cacti: three dimensional experimentation, Origami, Sound, tree houses, studies from famous artists and theatre plays.
During the exhibition, an educational creative programme will be running where schools and organized groups can visit and benefit from. A competition will also take place as a result to the visits.

Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 - 13:00 & 16:00 - 19:00
