Chris Byars Quartet
Chris Byars bio: Chris Byars is a saxophonist, arranger, and composer based in New York.
He has traveled to 55 countries since 2007, performing jazz concerts and educational outreach for US Embassy-sponsored programs. He co-directed the Jazz Futures Program in Cyprus from 2008-2013 with bassist Ari Roland.
Chris Byars's eleventh CD as a leader, "Two Fives," was released in Fall 2015 by SteepleChase (Denmark). The Chris Byars Sextet recently recorded The Music of Frank Strozier, slated for release in January 2017
