Chris' story is, by essence, one of mixed races. Born in French Guyana, of Martiniquan parents, he has established an identity across three continents: South America, Europe and the Caribbean.
Just as the artist is in constant movement, so his music comes to life and feeds off his travels. Chris Combette's music has been described for a long time as Caribbean. Chris feels this genre selection was influenced by the sounds that make up his Creole repertoire: Biguine, Mazurka, Bossa Nova, Salsa, Zouk or Reggae.
