Christmas adventures with Homer
Homer celebrates Christmas at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation!
How fascinating would Christmas be if Homer and his buddies joined Santa Claus’ helpers along with the deer? Imagine the adventures and journeys of two men who set out to travel and discover the world!
Following the successful Culture Academy for Children held in July 2017, the Cultural Foundation renews its appointment with children in a Christmas spirit, bringing to you “Christmas adventures with Homer”.
The Culture Academy for Children is organized in collaboration with the Summer School in Homer of the UCL Department of Greek and Latin. It comprises of role playing, interactive teaching of Homeric texts, creative writing and animation techniques drawing inspiration from the heroes of the Homeric epi, who will provide the experimentation basis for an educational Christmas experience.
> The daily programme will include:
1) Creative writing of Homeric epi in translation
2) Creative writing based on the Homeric epi
3) Instruction of animation techniques
> Your animators in this adventure are:
1) Christiana Michael, philologist
2) Stavros Lambrakis, author and Creative Writing coach
3) Electra Chrysanthou, 3d artist and animator
27-29 December 2017 & 03-05 January 2018
For children aged: 11-14 years old
