Christmas workshop for children 6 to 12 years old

Storytelling - puppet & shadow theatre - videography

A folk fairytale on the adventures of a little girl after the Christmas is presented to the children, who then are asked to make their own puppets and masks inspired from the fairytale. Then, the participants are encouraged to present the fairytale making use of their puppets as shadow theatre. The presentation involves the guidance of the participants in using creatively video and sound equipment for recording purposes.

10:00-10:30: storytelling
10:30-11:15: puppet making
11:15-11:30: interval
11:30-11:45: puppet making
11:45-13:00: rehearsals, videography
13:00-13:30: puppet theatre presentation, videography

Workshop leaders: Nikoletta Verykiou, Michalis Theodorou

Eidekanou theatre will provide all the necessary equipment. During the workshop, breakfast will be offered to the participants (along with coffee for the parents).

After the workshop, DVDs of the participants' video-work will be provided.
