Citizen Involvement in the EU
The NGO Support Centre, through its project 'ECoSMS- Empowering Citizens of Small Member States', is organising a conference entitled ‘Citizen Involvement in the EU’ on the 15th of February at 09:00.
The conference will take place at The Classic Hotel (94 Rigenis street, 1513) in Nicosia and will explore the ways citizens and Civil Society Organisations can actively participate in and influence the work of EU institutions.
The event will have two panels. The first panel entitled ‘Citizens and Civil Society’s Involvement in the EU’ will feature representatives from Civil Society Organisations, who will present their experiences and perspective on ways to better engage the EU.
The second panel entitled ‘National Citizen Recommendations’ will feature the project partners who will present the results of a series of national meetings with citizens on ways to enhance and improve the participation of citizens in the EU.
