Classical Music Concert
Popular Russian classical pianist Tatiana Stupak’s next concert will be in Limassol on Friday 8th April at 8 p.m. at Technohoros ETHAL theatre’s recital room. She will play piano solos and also accompany the well known Cypriot tenor Marios Charalambous.
Tatiana’s previous concert in Paphos in January was sold out, so early booking is advised. She will play works by Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Prokofiev and Schumann.
Marios Charalambous will sing arias from several operas, and a selection of other well-known songs.
Biographical details:
Tatiana Stupak was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. She started learning the piano at age 5, and at age 7 moved to the special music school of the St. Petersburg Conservatory. During her studies, Tatiana won a Bach international competition and an Organ international competition in Russia. Also she gave concerts in Germany, Austria and in Russia. After 11 years at the school, she continued her studies at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory in the class of Professor Leonid Sintsev. Tatiana graduated from the Conservatory after 5 years, and moved to Cyprus, where she she has been performing at private and public events. Marios Charalambous was born in Limassol, Cyprus. He was taught Byzantine chant music by Protopsaltis Nicos Papassavas and received training in classical singing from the soprano Sona Gargaloyan. He also attended opera master classes by the world renowned tenor Agim Hushi. In 2004, Marios was awarded the Certificate of Byzantine Music with Distinction from the Byzantine Music School of the Sacred Archdiocese of Crete, and in 2005 he was awarded the Certificate in Voice Performance from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Marios has performed a wide variety of songs from the Classical and Greek traditional repertoire at several festivals and concerts in Cyprus and abroad. In 2007, he was awarded the 3rd Prize at the 34th Pan-Hellenic Music and Song Contest held in Laggadia, Greece. Recently he has been a member of the Vocal Quartet Avanti 4, with which he performed last year in St. Petersburg as well as in several concerts in Cyprus.
