Conflict Photography Seminar
Cypriot conflict photographer Achilleas Zavallis in an open dialogue about his experience in Syria.

The presentation will be divided in four parts:
1) Preparation for the trip: Working in a war zone involves taking risks.
How do you minimize them in order to get the story and come out safe without putting yourself and the people who work with you in unnecessary risk.
2) Working in a war zone
Discussing situation and surrounding environment awareness, adaptability to fast changing conditions, risk management and responsibility towards one's story subjects and fixers.
3) From the camera to the photo editor
Step by step presentation of picture processing (renaming for archival purposes, file info, photoshop, exporting, contacting photo-editors)
Live processing of digital photographs on Photoshop: before and after
4) Presentation of the photographer's work in Syria 2012- 2013
The presentation and discussion will take place in Greek but English speakers are also welcome to join.
