Cyprus Film Days 2013
Cyprus Film Days 2013 hits the big screens of Rialto Theatre and Zena Palace Cinema in its 11th edition, from the 19 – 28 April 2013, and celebrates cinema, presenting outstanding cinematic gems. Some of the most awarded films of the year alongside new voices and established filmmakers from the international independent cinema will be screened.
The two main festival programmes are: the international competition programme Glocal Images and Viewfinder: A Close-up of Contemporary International Cinema. For the screenings programme please click here.
The Festival is proud to announce the special tributes to be presented this year at Cyprus Film Days 2013:
1. Tribute in memory of Cypriot cinematographer Haris Savvides, with screenings of Gus Van Sant's films 'Elephant' and 'Last Days'
2. Tribute to Chinese actor/ director Wen Jiang
3. The confrontational screen: Punk Rock meets cinema with the screening of three very interesting films: Jubilee (Derek Jarman, 1978), The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, (Julien Temple, 1980), and Rude Boy (Jack Hazan, David Mingay, 1980)
4. Bang, Bang, Bang: Vendetta Cinema From Around the World: A tribute to vendetta cinema with the screening of four cult films

- The entrance will be free to all afternoon and late midnight screenings
- €6 day card
- €25 general entry card (for all festival screenings)
