Cyprus at the turn of the 20th century
The Pierides Museum - Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation cordially invites you to the lecture "The exhibition of the Cypriot costumes in Athens, 1901. National identity and local character" on Thursday, 19 March 2015, 19:00 at the Pierides Museum, in Larnaka (the lecture will be delivered in Greek)

The lecture will be given in the framework of the photography exhibition "Cyprus at the turn of the 20th century"
The exhibition will be inaugurated by the President of the Pierides Foundation, Demetrios Z. Pierides.
The exhibition presents photographs of Cyprus and its people. The photographs belong to the Historical and Ethnological Society of Greece and were initially presented in 1901 at the “Cyprus Exhibition” held in Zappeion, in Athens.
The photography exhibition entitled “Cyprus at the turn of the 20th century” was organized by the Historical and Ethnological Society of Greece. In July 2014, it was presented in Athens at the National Historical Museum, housed at the Old Parliament Building, to honour Cyprus, forty years after the Turkish invasion of the island.
In October 2014, the Cultural Foundation organized an exhibition of the photographs, in Nicosia and as from March 2015, a selection of them is hosted at the Pierides Museum, in Larnaka.
