Deset Dreams
The Cyprus Cactus and Succulent Society is organizing the screening of the award winning documentary Desert Dreams by Thomas Wiewandt.
The documentary was the Winner at the Sedona International Film Festival, winner at the Wild and Scenic Film Festival, winner at the Audubon and Nature Film Festival etc
It is a magical trip to the wild nature of the Sonora Desert in Northern America. There is no narration allowing the viewer to fully immerse himself/herself in the spectacle. Stunning, spectacular video and photography and mesmerizing music by Gary Stroutsos.
The Society’s interest was stirred initially by the imposing Saguaro and the other cacti appearing in the documentary but 91 distinct species of plants and 91 distinct species of animals make their appearance too. Desert is definitely not what we thought!
