Digital Photography Course
Registration is now open for the Photography Course at the Museum.
Learn how to see the world like a photographer, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been taking photos for years.
Throughout the course, you’ll complete photo projects that will help you practice the skills you are learning. Photographer Antonis Farmakas will work with you, reviewing your photos and helping you improve as you complete the program. By the time you finish, you will have the skills and know-how to take high-quality photographs.
After completing this Digital Photography course, students will be able to:
-Master the use of his or her digital camera.
-Discuss the basic settings and functions of his or her camera so he or she is able to shoot in manual mode.
-Utilize exposure, lighting and lenses on a camera.
-Know proper composition and how to take the perfect photograph in all conditions.
-Develop his or her eye to see the world like a photographer.
-Reproduce different types of photography and apply various techniques.
-Apply skills that will help him or her to turn good photographs into great ones.
*Cameras will not be provided and students are required to bring their own DSLR or Mirrorless camera.
Lessons will be held in Greek and English
4 weekly sessions: Friday 02/2, 09/2, 16/2, 23/2

Antonis Farmakas has been an active artistic and commercial photographer based in Nicosia, Cyprus for the last 25 years.
As a graduate from the Kent Institute of Art Design (University for the Creative Arts), Antonis has developed an avid eye for advertising photography, whether this regards people, food and beverage, still life or places.
His attention to detail, in both composition and lighting, are his creative tools. His work depicts an ease in dealing with the environment that surrounds him whether this is on location or in his 100m² studio.
